Nearby the Mediterranean, Biot is ideally located halfway between Cannes and Nice. This town looks like a marvellous medieval jewel set in the middle of lush greenery. Biot has succeeded in preserving a good standard of living and a strong identity inherited from its own past.

The narrow streets bear witness to Biot’s rich history. Long time ago,   twas the most important Templar’s commandery of the region. Later on, it became the stronghold of the Knights of Malta.
Originally famous for its pottery, this beautiful town has always attracted renowned artists, such as Fernand Léger, Raymond Peynet, and so forth. Besides, the Fernand Léger Museum is situaded down the old village of Biot.
Real artistic centre, it gathers countless artists and craftsmen : glassblowers, ceramists, goldsmiths…etc. All of them contribute to the influence spreading of artistic trades covering fire, earth, jewellery, plastic artwork…
The town is also considered to be one of privileged dining places .
